    1. I didn’t know before how many of the types of penguins don’t live in ice and snow. The ones on Peninsula Valdes, Magellanic, don’t live in Antartica. Even though, as penguins go, they are pretty common I thought their stripes were handsome. The guide we had on the Falklands kind of pooh-poohed the Magellanic, they are also called “Jackass” penguins, because they are pretty common (they are called “jackass” because they bray).
